Guarantees

In the 1990's a clarification of the rules that regulated acceptable Surety products was released. At that time private Sureties, called “Individual Sureties”, with an acceptable asset base, were allowed to provide surety guarantees which were issued in conjunction to federally funded projects. LCR has qualified as a provider for these Guarantees which the U.S. Government and/or various departments or agencies require a Guarantee. The most common are Guarantees for large highway projects, military projects, etc. Over the last few years LCR has provided both direct Guaranteeing, and has participated as a reinsurer on other projects:

Not only is the company a provider of Sureties as described above, but we have provided private sureties, and guarantees such as:

Performance Guarantees – To provide the security that a construction project will be completed both on time and on budget.

Payment Guarantees – When a construction project is finished there will be no hidden surprises to the project in regards to unpaid wages, benefits, or materials which have been purchased.

Completion Guarantees – This is a simplified form of a Performance Guarantee which states that on a certain date the project will be completed. Some project owners request an additional clause be added which states if by a certain date the project is not completed, funds are returned or if penalties are incurred, the Surety covers the cost.

Guarantees:

Financial Guarantees – These are difficult Guarantees to obtain and document, but LCR can help in this area. Some lenders do not care about the project. The lender only cares about being paid on time and if there is a problem they want a third party to take the lead in correcting it or the third party is to pay off the loan.

Minimum Value Guarantees: Many times clients have collectibles and/or antiques which they have loans on. The lender may be concerned about market fluctuations, so the lender may require a guarantee at a minimum value.
